MARITIMES CLUSTER NORDDEUTSCHLAND E.V.

The network for the maritime industry

Shipbuilding, suppliers, marine technology, shipping, offshore and more: The maritime economy has many facets - and enormous future potential. It is a key industry in the north and has a major impact on its economic development.

The Maritime Cluster Norddeutschland (MCN) association promotes and strengthens cooperation in the industry. We bundle forces across the federal states. We promote cooperation and innovations across sectors. Among other things, we support the search for innovation partners, advise on funding programs and arrange contacts in the maritime industry.

Active regionally and internationally

The MCN is a maritime network with more than 350 members from business, science and politics. We are on site with offices in Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Schleswig-Holstein. Because we know that we can only find out which course we are setting, which gates we open, which ports we have to call in through constant dialogue with all stakeholders.

The Maritime Cluster Norddeutschland was founded in 2011. Initially, the states of Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein worked together in the transnational cluster, and in September 2014 Bremen and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania were added. The MCN has been operating as an association since the beginning of 2017.
